It’s simple to make and definitely more cost effective. Not to mention when you make your own peanut butter, you can opt out of the preservatives and added oils. All you need is a blender/food processor. Watch your toasted peanuts turn into crumbs, then a thick paste and finally a smooth peanut butter.
Ingredients:
- 250gm peanuts
- 1gm sea salt
- 2 teaspoon maple syrup
Directions:
- Toast your peanuts with it’s skin on until it starts to brown and smells fragrant. Then leave it to cool.
- Once peanuts are cool, remove skin and throw peanuts into a food processor/high speed blender. Add salt and maple syrup.
- This process might take a while, depending on the speed of your food processor/blender. Watch the peanuts turn into a thick paste and then a smooth peanut butter.
- Transfer peanut butter into an airtight container. Store in room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
